optIsort™ is
a unique process color recognition system designed for
high speed manufacturing applications. The system
utilizes special optical components that facilitate
remote measurement in reflectance or transmission mode,
making it suitable for a wide variety of applications.
optIsort™ is comprised of a high-speed, fiber optic
spectrophotometer, host computer application and
multi-axis positioning system to scan product samples.
The system measures colorimetric differences and
distributions in color patterns across a sample, making
it an excellent system for characterizing grained,
textured or patterned surfaces. The system can operate
autonomously or as a component in an integrated
distributed manufacturing system
